5th National Conference ACOUSTICS 2010

Athens, Greece, October 4 – 6, 2010

Averov Building, NTUA

Ancient theatre, Epidauros, Greece

Acoustics is a constituent part of the Hellenic cultural roots regarding, not only the design of drama theatres, but also the philosophical investigation of sound as a physical phenomenon as well as a musical phenomenon.

Started in the year 2002, acoustics conferences in modern Greece take place every two years, and are organised by the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA). Acoustics 2010, the 5th National Conference on Acoustics, is organised jointly by HELINA and the Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and it will take place in Athens, Greece, from October 4 to 6, 2010.

The aim of the conference is first to highlight the work of contemporary Greek scientists and engineers concerned with acoustics as well as to present results of their recent research, and secondly to promote nationally, as well as world wide, cooperation among scientists and engineers concerned with acoustics and its applications.
